Australian livestock exporter AUSTREX believes the best assurance of excellent animal welfare outcomes is developing and supporting great people with great values and great animal husbandry and welfare skills. To this end, the company is supporting accredited stockperson, Alexandra Snape, who is part of the AUSTREX Southern breeder and dairy cattle operations team, on a co-operative project with a major international shipowner/operator to up-skill their ship crews in the latest animal husbandry and handling knowledge.

This video was an entry in the Transparency Challenge run by LiveCorp in the lead up to the LIVEXchange 2019 conference. The competition encouraged participants in the livestock export supply chain to produce short videos to showcase continuous improvement in areas such as animal welfare. This video was the winner of the People’s Choice award.
