It will analyse logistics costs, regulatory burdens, and market access challenges, comparing Australia with other major cattle-exporting nations. The project will also consider macroeconomic trends, such as changing meat consumption patterns in key markets (Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Middle East), economic growth, and rising protein demand, identifying opportunities for Australia's cattle export industry.
This project is managed by the Livestock Export RD&E Program, a collaboration between LiveCorp and Meat & Livestock Australia.
