Sam Brown

Born and raised on a mixed farming operation in the Riverina of New South Wales, Mr Brown has a deep appreciation of the issues and challenges faced by the agricultural sector. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2002 with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science. He worked for six years across a range of divisions and regulatory authorities within the now Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, where he gained exposure to both federal and state legislative development and policy issues across a range of controversial issues including; wheat single desk reform, equine influenza and industry reform programs.

Mr Brown has held the position of CEO of LiveCorp since 2012. Prior to that, he served as LiveCorp’s Industry Capability Manager within the Livestock Export Program (LEP) for four years. Mr Brown leads a small and highly dedicated organisation that provides research, development, extension and marketing services to the livestock export industry. He has extensive experience in strategy development, research and project design, corporate affairs, crisis management and stakeholder extension and adoption planning.

Working in a high pressure, socially sensitive agricultural industry, Mr Brown has experienced the pressures of change management and adaption arising from a volatile political and regulatory environment. This experience has also involved extensive international travel to engage, maintain and support commercial and diplomatic relationships.
